Taylor Made Golf- Rocketballz Driver

Product Description

The RocketBallz driver offers a variety of technologies including Flight Control Technology (FCT), which has been further enhanced by enabling loft adjustments up to 1.5 degrees and a face angle up to 3 degrees. With a maximum sized titanium clubhead (460cc) and a Thick-Thin Crown design, RocketBallz lowers the Center of Gravity (CG) for increased swing speed and longer distances off the tee. Inverted Cone Technology (ICT) promotes more ball speed on off-center hits - making it a very forgiving driver. Aesthetically, the white crown and black face combination makes alignment easy and eliminates any glare on top of the clubhead. If these enhancements weren't enough, RocketBallz also features a lightweight Matrix XCON 5 shaft and TaylorMade's own performance lightweight FCT Lite grip.
Features:

  • Low and forward CG, for more speed with optimal launch
  • Slight draw bias, for more distance
  • Flight Control Technology (FCT) allows you to easily adjust loft (±1.5°)and face angle (±3°)
  • Lightweight shaft and grip promotes faster swing speed for more distance
  • Speed-enhancing head aerodynamics promote faster head speed for more distance

    • Headcover: Included
    • Gender: Mens
    • Condition: New

    5.0 out of 5 stars What a club!, February 21, 2012
This review is from: TaylorMade RocketBallz Driver
I am a 15 year old that is probably a 20 handicapper. I was hesitant to buy it after hitting it at stores but after my first round on the course with it, this thing is so deadly accurate and is at least 30 yards further than my old driver. I used to only hit 3 or 4 fairways out of 14 but now I hit 11 or 12. I really haven't seen much difference between the lofts that you can switch it to (I have the 10.5 degree)but the face angle change is apparent. There is no separate area to adjust the face angle separately, so if you are a low handicap that wants to shape their shots, go with the r11s or the Razr Fit. If you increase the loft, it is at a draw but if you decrease it is a fade (for a righty). If you need help hitting more fairways and you are getting old and can't hit the ball far anymore, get the Taylormade Rocketballz driver. You will not be dissapointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Wood I Ever Hit!!!, April 11, 2012
    Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: TaylorMade RocketBallz Driver
I just tried my new Rocketbalz one wood driver for the first time yesterday. To start with it was very easy to adjust. This club is very easy to hit as well and I hit it at least 20 yards farther on average than my old driver (a Taylor Made R9). My playing partner was so impressed that he is going to get one for himself!!! I highly recommend this to any golfer that wants to hit it long and straight!!!

OK, I'm no scratch golfer, but I've worked my way around the links over the past three decades, and recently started getting more serious about the game again. I have been playing TM R11 irons and a TM Burner 2.0 Superfast driver, 3W, and 3H for the past 9 months or so, and these have set the benchmark for me. I tried out the original R11 last fall -- and it hit fairly well for me -- but I liked the weight and action of the Burner Superfast 2.0 better. Long story short, I dented the face of my driver, and needed a replacement while TM fixes/replaces my Burner 2.0. So I headed to the local golf store, and tried out the R11S, the Callaway Razr Fit, the RBZ tour, and the RBZ "regular" driver.

I really liked the sound and feel of the Razr Fit. This is a HUGE improvement over the Razr Hawk and previous Callaway drivers I've hit. Surprisingly, I didn't care much for the R11s feel, but LOVED the RBZ 9.5* driver. I tried the tour model, but it felt a little rigid and flat for my... Read more
